Health Care in Transition Action Plan
1997 Update
The Health Care in Transition Action Plan will continue to focus on the
changes occurring in health care systems. The four areas of emphasis are
managed care; the role of insurance; access to care; and consumer knowledge
of health care plans. Two collaborative efforts are underway. These
projects focus on (1) insurance purchasing groups and (2) health needs and
asset mapping assessment. The former is in partnership with the Nebraska
Department of Health. The latter connects Extension to the Nebraska
Community Health Partners of Nebraska. Inservices related to both projects
will be offered in 1997.
