Nebraska 4-H. Discover 4-H, Discover YOU!

Young people from across Nebraska are having the opportunity to learn more about the arts as they participate in hands-on learning experiences focusing on theatre and visual arts. The University of Nebraska Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts and Nebraska 4-H are teaming to present a series of Fine and Performing Arts Summer Camps. These camps are week-long opportunities for middle school youth to participate in activities presented by undergraduate and graduate students from the Hixson-Lied College of Fine and Performing Arts.

Goals of the Fine & Performing Arts Camps are to introduce youth to the arts, give student artists the opportunity to engage with Nebraska communities while educating young people, and involve community members in the celebration of art created by youth. During the camps, students will learn concepts such as basic theory about drawing and design, how to work different media (oil, water color, etc.), and will create mosaics and murals.
