IANR CRITERIA FOR PRIORITY POSITIONS
AND PROGRAM ENHANCEMENT

Determining the best use for limited resources is critical to an effective and responsive organization. IANR will use a two-step process to analyze the relative importance of programs and positions. The first step involves a general assessment and the second step determines the relative priority of the proposal.

 

STEP ONE: GENERAL ASSESSMENT - Responses to the following questions will be used by the IANR Administrative Council, Program Deans and the Vice Chancellor to evaluate the overall essentiality:

  1. Is the program/position intrinsically necessary?

  2. Can the program/position be modified or reduced in scope?

  3. Is there an alternative way to offer the program/position?

 

STEP TWO: CRITERIA - These criteria will be used at all administrative levels to assess the priority of requested individual positions. Programmatic priority setting most generally will occur during the strategic planning process and in developing the action plans. Establishing the priority of individual positions will occur on a periodic basis utilizing the following criteria:
