Upload Files to IANR FTP Server
Who may use it?
This form is intended to be used by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln IANR Staff and Students and people they are sharing files with and people sharing
files with them.
What is the maximum file size?
The file size is limited to 100 MB.
What type of files may I upload?
Files with the extensions of ".EXE", ".COM" and ".BAT" are NOT allowed. Files of any other file type may be uploaded.
How long is the file available on the FTP Server?
One month. The specific day of it last availablity is included with the link information at the time the file is uploaded.
What if a file with the same filename already exists on the server?
If an uploaded file is of the same name that already exists on the server, the upload process will serialize the new file name so that it has
a sequential number added to it. So, both the old and new file will be available until their respective delete dates.
How do I delete a file I uploaded, but no longer need or want?
No provision is in place to permit you to delete a file. If it is crucial to delete the file please contact Alfred Stark, 402-472-5615,

What if I forget the filename and/or link?
No provision is in place to list the files on the server and generally you can not go back the page providing you the link information. So you will likely need to
upload the file again and copy the new link information.
How secure from public view are the files placed on this server?
They are not secure from public access. Do NOT use this process if you do not want to share these files with the Intenet community.
While the process does not provide an easy means of listing the available files, it is a public server and at the very least
anyone being provided with the link infomation will have access to the file.
What if the file is infected with a virus?
The file will be removed immediately from the FTP server without any notice being provided to anyone.
